The group had a blessed time away at Legends Golf and Country Resort on 6-7 July 2016 to focus on prayers and healing. We pray for the group members to follow through their commitments to break every stronghold and to live in the Victory of Christ!

Testimonial for Encounter God Retreat

As I read about the information of the Encounter God Retreat (EGR) on the flyer, the word “fears “and “condemnations” caught my eyes. I thought it would be great if I could free myself from all the unwanted baggage of my past by attending the retreat. Besides, a short break from my daily chores was an inviting idea too. Therefore, without much hesitation, I signed up.

The atmosphere at the retreat was relaxing. Each of us had a prayer partner. Indeed, I was blessed and thankful to have an empathetic partner who understood and supported me. After each session, we had to confess our sins to our prayer partner and pray for each other, as James 5:16 says, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”

The workshop reminded me to be careful of the areas that I was vulnerable, and to be alert to and aware of the lies of our enemies.

One word to describe my feeling after the retreat is “Free”. I was once again gently reminded that I needed only to surrender my brokenness and in turn, I would receive “Beauty for Ashes”… such a precious assurance from the Lord!
Even after the retreat, we will continue to support each other to follow through our commitments and inspire others about this ministry.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pastor Michael and the church leaders, Pastor Tan Yong Heng and the Organising Committee for organizing this retreat. For me, I look forward to lasting transformation in my life as I continue my journey of faith with my Lord Jesus.
