HOW TO BE BETTER OFF (Ecclesiastes 7)
Wisdom can make three positive contributions to our lives.
1. Wisdom Helps Us To Know What Is Better In Life (Eccl. 7:1-10)
a. For The Wise, Sorrow Is Better Than Laughter.
b. For The Wise, Rebuke Is Better Than Praise.
c. For The Wise, The "Long Haul" Is Better Than The Shortcut.
d. For The Wise, Today Is Better Than Yesterday.
2. Wisdom Helps Us To See Life Clearly (Eccl. 7:11-18)
a. The Wise Can Handle Wealth.
b. The Wise Can Handle Providence.
c. The Wise Can Handle Adversity And Prosperity.
d. The Wise Can Handle Righteousness And Sin.
3. Wisdom Helps Us Face Life Stronger (Eccl. 7:19-29)
a. The Wise Can Face Gossip.
b. The Wise Can Face The Inability To Grasp The Meaning Of All That God Is Doing In This World.
c. The WIse Can Face The Sinfulness Of Humanity In General.
We may not fully understand all that God is doing, but with godly wisdom, we can live for the good of all and for the glory of God in all circumstances.
